Hong Kong Olympic Village Royal Park Hotel Chef and Australian-registered nutritionist MiMi Li on healthy diet.

Cooking can be a way to strengthen family ties. So the Club invited the Chef at Hong Kong Olympic Village Royal Park Hotel to reveal and demonstrate the Olympic dishes for the athletes. Children tried cooking too. In the same talk, nutritionist MiMi Li spoke about healthy diet.

The Nutritious Meals for Kids seminar had Royal Park Hotel executive chef Eric Lam telling about the healthy menu the hotel prepared for the equestrian athletes and demonstrating how to make a simple, healthy orange shrimp salad. They were all entertained and happy to help in the cake making.

Dietician Mimi Li taught members about healthy diet. She explained the ratio between the waist and the hips that defines an apple body shape. She said that the apple body shape with fat above the waist was unhealthier than a pear shape with fat below the waist, as it could lead to diabetes, high blood pressure and heart attack.
