Sky lanterns are a Chinese tradition to hold wishes and blessings for your family. The SHKP Club and Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East are staging a Loving Home Sky Lantern workshop and moon cake tasting where members will be able to make Loving Home Sky Lanterns with their relatives.
Binding bamboo sticks together to make lantern frames symbolises the mutual support between family members and gives a heartwarming blessing for Mid-Autumn festival. In addition to making Loving Home Sky Lanterns, participants can taste moon cakes prepared by the hotel.
On the day of the event (17 August 2013, Saturday), all members can buy moon cakes at a special promotional price of HK$238 (originally HK$258) at Tze Yuet Heen on the second floor of the hotel by showing their membership cards. Every box of moon cakes bought will entitle the member to a bottle of conpoy XO sauce for just HK$118 (originally HK$198). Every purchase of moon cakes and XO sauce worth upto HK$500 on the day of the event will earn a Tze Yuet Heen dining voucher worth HK$50, for use when spending at least HK$250 (excluding 10% service charge).
