Parent – child bonds built in Handbell Workshop
Music is a universal language, and when parents are with their children as the youngsters learn to play an instrument, the parents have an opportunity to encourage and praise while both share the joy of learning.
Fun learning musical instruments
The Club recently got together with the Hong Kong Handbell Academy to stage an SHKP Club Loving Home Rhythm – Handbell Workshop. Experienced instructors taught members and their children about different types of handbells and techniques to play them. The instructors also prepared a sweet, simple tune for participants to learn. Parents and children had a lovely session of communication through wonderful Loving Home summer notes, enhancing intergenerational understanding and affection.
