SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC spurs public exercise craze

The sixth SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC will take place on 3 December. Not only are all the runners gearing up for the exciting event. their relatives, friends and even the public can get involved in different ways.

Games designed for runners and families

This year, SHKP and the Playright Children's Play Association will once again join hands to set up an activity zone on the 8/F of ICC on the race day, offering a series of stimulating mobile game stations for runners, their children and family. There will be a sport station with indoor bike trainers Wattbike and a fun station with outdoor games like Roller Slide, Fun Sumo and Jenga. Admission to the activity zone is free of charge. Runners with race bibs and their friends and relatives with Race to Hong Kong ICC stickers which come with the runners' kits are welcome to join the event and spend a happy Sunday.

Encouraging stair climbing in community

In addition, SHKP launches a variety of warm-up activities such as Step Up for Health* before the race to promote exercise in the community. From now till 3 December 2017, people aged 16 or above can download the SHKP Vertical Run for Charity mobile app from Google Play or the App Store to join the activity. Participants have to walk or climb stairs of at least 1,000 steps for at least five days a week (count from 00:00 Monday to 23:59 Sunday) as recorded by the app step counter for a chance to win shopping mall vouchers, tea buffets, sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck tickets and more.
