The Royal Plaza Hotel prepares crispy ham and veal cutlet

Food is meant to fill the stomach and provide relaxation and enjoyment. Here we present the recipe for a cordon bleu of fried ham and cheese with veal cutlet and lemon from the chic LION ROCK restaurant and bar. Enjoy the gourmet crisp and creamy tender veal!

Fried ham and cheese with veal cutlet and lemon
Ingredients (serves two)
Veal Four cutlets (80g each)
Ham Two slices (40g each)
Cheddar cheese Two slices (20g each)
Eggs Two
Milk 60ml
Low-gluten flour 100g
Bread crumbs 250g
Butter 50g
Vegetable oil Four soup spoons
Fresh lemon Three or four slices
Black pepper  
Salt

Preparation:

  1. Trim the veal cutlets into ovals and season with pepper and salt.

  2. Cut the cheese and ham into ovals smaller than a cutlet and place on top of one. Sprinkle flour on the outside edge of this cutlet and place another one on top of it, then firmly press the edges together.

  3. Repeat with the other two cutlets.

  4. Mix eggs and milk.

  5. Dust the cutlets with flour and lay then place them in the egg / milk mixture.

  6. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly over the battered cutlets.

  7. Heat the vegetable oil and butter in a pan and fry the cutlets five minutes each side at medium heat.

  8. Remove excess oil with a paper towel and garnish with lemon slices (which can also be enjoyed with a salad) then serve.
