The SHKP-Kwoks’ Foundation sees it a mission to help develop new talent and it offers scholarships to financially disadvantaged students so they can study various subjects at universities on the mainland and in Hong Kong leading to professional careers. The Foundation recently pledged further funding for its Southeast University scholarships to help more students.
The Foundation set up its Southeast University scholarships in 2014 with RMB 1 million in funding. The university is one of the mainland’s top 25 for overall performance and has a focus on research and a reputation for producing high-calibre graduates in engineering and architecture. The U.S. News & World Report ranked it 22nd among the 2016 Best Global Universities for Engineering.
