ICC Light and Music Show - Art through the night

The widely acclaimed Art Basel will return to Hong Kong in March showing exquisite modern and contemporary works and will again collaborate with SHKP to present art on Hong Kong's tallest building International Commerce Centre (ICC) – literally 'high-level art'.

Media art depicts living in the present

Time Waterfall by Japanese artist Tatsuo Miyajima will be shown on the facades of ICC. His latest large-scale public light installation takes the numbers from one to nine in varying sizes and typefaces and cascades down the facades at different speeds as they count and form different layers to bring out three basic concepts behind his creation – 'Keep Changing', 'Connect With Everything' and 'Continue Forever' – culminating in the idea 'living in the present'. The deliberate omission of zero alludes to the Buddhist concept of Sunya, representing the void or non-existence.

Art talent straight from school

ICC and the City University of Hong Kong School of Creative Media are presenting another Open Sky Campus project displaying eight distinctive works above Victoria Harbour this March to showcase the energy and creativity of new artists.
