SHKP Reading Club

Through SHKP Reading Club, Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) is sponsoring the social enterprise Hong Kong Local Stories Organisation to publish a picture book — Chronicles for Children, A Treasure Hunt for Hong Kong's Return to the Motherland. This picture book presents the increasingly prosperous urban landscape, important infrastructure, and landmarks with unique commemorative significance, the national flag and regional flag and other items of national education, as well as interesting STEM knowledge from the various districts of Hong Kong since its return to the motherland. SHKP Executive Director Christopher Kwok recently attended the picture book launch ceremony and celebrated the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, where he came together with students in a game of "treasure hunt" to share interesting facts about Hong Kong with guests. Christopher Kwok hopes that this picture book will plant a seed in the hearts of children, from which will grow a love for the nation, for Hong Kong and for innovation and technology, and that they give back to society when they grow up.
