SHKP's Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative shares the love during the Dragon Boat Festival

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) has been working with social welfare organisations in many districts to provide care and support to disadvantaged communities through various activities held by the Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative. One of these activities was the recent Celebrating Dragon Boat Festival with Love, which provided healthy rice dumplings, food and anti-pandemic items to underprivileged families in Central and Western district, Eastern district, and Islands district. The SHKP Volunteer Team has also been giving away Dragon Boat Festival gift bags to singleton elderly and elderly doubletons who benefited from the recent "Redevelopment of Pak Tin Estate - Neighbourhood Support Programme", as well as showing concern for their situation after removal, so that these "old friends" can also feel the love at home during the festival.

SHKP Reading Club

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) Reading Club recently teamed up with the Federation of New Territories Youth and the Tai Po Youths Association to host the anti-pandemic writing contest via its "Read For More" online reading platform to express love and gratitude in four specific groups of people needed support, and encourage everyone to overcome hardships with the steadfast conviction of the "Lion Rock Spirit". Entries to the competition were of a very high standard. The judges selected 15 excellent works from secondary schools and universities from among 212 entries. Among them, Wong Ka-man from the True Light Girls' College used Tales of Hulan River written by Xiao Hong to thank medical staff and frontline anti-pandemic workers for staying at their posts; after reading My Diary Against The Coronavirus, Chan Sze-man from the Tuen Mun Government Secondary School felt very moved by the difficulties and hardships endured by the frontline medical staff.
