SHKP releases 2020/21 Sustainability Report

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) met its five-year energy reduction target in the last financial year, and set new 10-year environmental targets, as outlined in the 2020/21 Sustainability Report. It covers the management initiatives of greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water use and construction waste diversion, committing to obtaining Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications for all its new investment properties, furthering the green efforts. During the reporting year, SHKP remained a constituent member of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index and the FTSE4Good Global Index series of London, and also obtained an "A" in the latest MSCI ESG Ratings*.

Recognition for outstanding ESG performance

SHKP strives to promote all Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) fronts, creating long-term value for its stakeholders and the community as a whole. It has recently received the ESG Leading Enterprise Award, Leading Environmental Initiative Award and Leading Social Initiative Award in the ESG Leading Enterprise Awards 2021, co-organised by the Chinese Edition of Bloomberg Businessweek and Deloitte. The awards recognise SHKP's outstanding performance on all ESG fronts, as well as on the environmental and social initiatives.
