Guangzhou International Grand City seizes business opportunities in the Greater Bay Area

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) operated a joint-venture development, named International Grand City (the shopping mall component of Tianhui Plaza), in Zhujiang New Town's central business district in Guangzhou. It spans a gross floor area of approximately 92,000 square metres, and is nestled amongst the district's grade-A office buildings and high-end residences. The mall has a diverse range of stylish and prestigious brands alongside its beauty offerings, meeting the needs of executives, business travellers and local families.

Diamond-grade shopping and recreation experience

Guangzhou International Grand City (Guangzhou igc) is a glistening landmark in Zhujiang New Town, created with the design concept of "a diamond by the river". The complex is laid out across seven floors and integrates an urban oasis with shopping, leisure, arts and culture. Its rooftop features Guangzhou's sole river-view duplex dining space and outdoor viewing terrace. The complex brings together around 170 international boutiques and fashion brands, approximately 90% of which are the brand's first or flagship store in South China, or the whole country. The mall also offers internationally renowned brands and sought-after light-dining eateries, such as Chanel Beauty, JO MALONE LONDON, Hugo Boss, and gaga Café, with many stores recording their highest sales in the country for new stores. Other popular and fashionable brands like FILA FUSION, Champion, adidas and Pop Mart also make the Zhujiang New Town business district more trendy.

Leveraging technology to keep pace with trends and launching promotions to encourage women to show their beauty

Guangzhou igc has pioneered the introduction of a smart shopping mall system, iMall, creating an intelligent shopping environment. For example, customers can earn points and redeem rewards instantly as they make a purchase. Electronic redemption systems are also available. The digitalised measures optimise mall services and enhance customer interactions. For its flexible and diverse membership services and promotional activities, Guangzhou igc won the Gold Award in the Innovative Use of Technology in Customer Service Award at the 2020 (7th) Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards.
