Storyland@Royal Handmade Cookies are developed by Roy Chan, Royal Plaza Hotel's Area Executive Pastry Chef. To make the cookies exude a rich, buttery aroma, he uses the finest butter from Isigny Sainte-Mère, a dairy brand boasting a long history in Normandy, France, and combines it with Davidoff coffee, Di King Heen's very own X.O. Sauce, Sakura Ebi, apricots, raisins, Macadamia nuts and other ingredients to create ten unique cookies. These include Royal Lion Coffee Cookies representing the spirit of Lion Rock, crispy and mild spicy X.O. Sauce & Sakura Ebi Cookies, as well as Oatmeal, Apricot & Raisin Cookies with a honey aroma. The combination of textures, aromas and flavours in each cookie is meticulously crafted. None of the cookies contain preservatives so that their original flavours are maintained. Di King Heen, located on the 3rd floor of Royal Plaza Hotel, presents the Taste of the Legend – Eileen Chang Set Menu, based on the life and works of the legendary writer, Eileen Chang. The banquet features nine delicacies, using modern Cantonese cooking techniques to reinterpret the legendary flavours of Ms Chang's literature. The amazing dishes include Spanish Shrimp and Chili Vegetarian Dumplings and Rose-shaped Pastry, inspired by Red Rose, White Rose, and an Egg Custard with delicious, golden Soft Shell Crab that represents a "Golden Lock", originated from The Golden Cangue. Diners can explore the writer's ingenious creativity and literary charm expressed in these exquisite dishes.
