Parc Central, Guangzhou - a trendy new landmark in South China

Parc Central, the first, large-scale shopping mall developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) in South China, is situated in the heart of Guangzhou's Tianhe Central Business District. It features an open garden design concept that integrates shopping, leisure, a transport hub and urban spaces, making it one of the most iconic, new commercial landmarks in Guangzhou and even South China.

A touch of trendiness and luxury in the city

Parc Central has a total gross floor area of approximately 83,600 square metres (around 900,000 square feet) set across four floors, attracting over 190 well-known brands that span international fashion and apparel, beauty and sports, as well as popular worldwide eateries. Top international beauty brands such as TOM FORD and YSL have opened their largest global flagship stores at the mall. Other Guangzhou flagships include the Apple Store, popular leisure-wear brand Abercrombie & Fitch, Canada's top outdoor brand ARC'TERYX, as well as Japan's sports streetwear brand EVISU & EVISUKURO. Furthermore, there are many instagrammable restaurants at the mall, such as coffee shop % Arabica, tea-culture flagship HEYTEA LAB, Taiwanese Spicy restaurant Coucou Hotpot, and Japanese Grill restaurant HOT IRON. All this makes Parc Central a one-stop shop for young consumers with a desire for high-quality leisure and social spaces.

Smart retail experience

Parc Central continues to improve on its use of technology and smart operating systems, introducing an instant "Points for Purchases" service. Customers can earn points instantly by applying to become a Parc Central VIP CLUB member and stating their mobile number before checkout, or by using Alipay and WeChat to check out. They can also use the Parc Central WeChat App to pay for self-service parking with points. Parc Central even hosted live-streamed e-marketing in aid of Guangzhou's first online livestream e-commerce festival, providing customers with ever more convenient ways to shop.

Home of auspicious Chinese New Year installations and hot selfie spots

Parc Central continues to organise various themed exhibitions and trendy cultural activities. It has also planned a number of South China's first exhibitions for popular characters, such as POP MART- and Kumamon-themed exhibitions, establishing itself as one of the city's key selfie spots. The mall has made good use of its outdoor spaces, hosting an array of successful themed events, including a coffee festival, a beer festival, and a retro fashion market, bringing in young people in droves. Recently, Parc Central launched a themed New Year's exhibition, "A Blooming New Year", combining elements of unique dragon and lion dances from Canton culture with interesting installations. In the B1 Outdoor Square, there is an installation of a cute Fuwa doll, dressed in an auspicious Southern lion dance costume, standing on a 13-metre-high Lucky Tower. In the Southern Square, there is a 22-metre long dragon dance installation, featuring a huge Golden Dragon surrounded by hydrangea-like lights. In the B2 atrium, a number of New Year scenes that feature blessings, red lanterns, Chinese knots and peach blossom trees are set up, enabling visitors to take many cool pictures. In addition, Parc Central VIP CLUB members can redeem Parc Central Illustrated New Year Red Packets and Felt Pouch Bags with their points, and scan the QR code on the Red Packet to receive shopping coupons for the mall.
