SHKP Sports for Charity Carnival 2019

Organised by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP), the SHKP Sports for Charity Carnival 2019 was held on 12 October at the Hong Kong Velodrome. World champion cyclist and "Rainbow Jersey" holder Wong Kam-po, and Hong Kong's renowned distance runner Chan Ka-ho, were invited to give a talk, sharing their stories of sports succession. On the event day, more than 1,000 people became Sports for Charity Pros, among them included about 200 beneficiary children and young families from various charity organisations. They actively participated in interesting sports games, such as the Reaching New Heights experiential vertical run and the SHKP Cycling Academy 4km ride challenge. SHKP made a donation according to the calories burned by the participants in the activities, eventually donating HK$3 million to fund six charity organisations for underprivileged children and youth services. Through this event, SHKP hopes to encourage more people to put into practice the sports-for-charity spirit starting from their families and generate positive energy through exercise.
