Maintenance tips
  • Leather sofas should not be exposed to direct sunlight, which can dry them out.
  • Dust glossy leather sofas with a feather duster or dry cloth, then use a special cleaner to remove the stubborn stains. Protective membrane should be applied regularly.
  • When you order a leather sofa, ask the manufacturer to apply a stain and mould repellant before shipping. This greatly reduces the risk of stains penetrating the leather and minimizes mould caused by humidity, keeping the leather soft and preserving the colour.
  • For embossed leather, fine-grade sandpaper can remove dirt spots and protection spray is good for regular maintenance.
  • Use dry detergent to clean fabric sofas. If the cushion covers cannot be removed, the sofa should be cleaned by professional cleaning companies.
  • Use a sponge dipped in leather cleanser to remove minor stains.
  • Apply leather protector monthly.
  • Ink stains should be removed immediately with stain remover, followed by an application of protective membrane.
  • Yearly maintenance, including cleaning and repairs, will prolong the life of the sofa.
