Loving Home

I do it for my family campaign

The SHKP Club has been promoting domestic harmony for the past two years to its over 260,000 members and the public.

The Club launched its 'I do it for my family' campaign in 2007 to encourage people to make a pledge for their families. The campaign attracted 5,000 entries from people aged from two to 76, and the Club produced a set of four Loving Home folders.

Heart-warming messages

The Club took four key messages from the 5,000 I do it for my family entries and used them to produce a Loving Home folder pack. The folders carry simple graphics and suggest 'better communication', 'more helpful', 'be caring' and 'more considerate'. The Club sold folder packs over the Christmas season with proceeds going to the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society.

Winners join charity sale

Some of the winners of the I do it for my family competition helped sell Loving Home folder packs at SHKP malls, including 76-year-old Ms Yu: the oldest entrant. Ms Yu talked about her family spanning four generations and ten-year-old winner Justin Leung enthusiastically explained the messages to passers-by. Sales went very well.

Promoting family harmony

The sale was also promoted in SHKP residential developments, malls and subsidiaries, and the folders were also available at designated Commercial Publishing outlets. The entire campaign was a great success, and the Club thanks everyone who took part. The Club will organize more Loving Home activities for members and the public to foster domestic harmony in Hong Kong.
