    • Registration for SHKP Vertical Run for Charity now open

    The SHKP Vertical Run for Charity is an annual event that combines sport with charity and offers family fun. Races will be in Shanghai in October and Hong Kong in December, and wherever people live they are invited to participate, get fit and contribute to the needy in the community.

    A caring community starts with you

    The Race to Shanghai IFC will be on 22 October with individual and team events letting participants from around the world challenge the 1,460 steps of Shanghai IFC Phase 2. All registration fees will be donated to the Shanghai Children's Health Foundation for treatment of children from poor families. Registration will be closed on 22 September. The Race to Hong Kong ICC on December 3 will again be the grand finale of the Vertical World Circuit where elite runners from all over the world will converge on Hong Kong's tallest building International Commerce Centre to vie for top honours. Registration will be closed on 3 November and people signing up by 8 September will get discounts. Funds raised will go to the Community Chest of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Council of Social Service to help underprivileged local children and youths.

    Community promotions coming

    The Race to Hong Kong ICC will have 2,000 slots available this year so more people can try the fun of vertical running, and SHKP will stage various promotions in residential estates and shopping malls. These will include Step-Up for Wellness, Step-Up for Health, flash mob performances, Race to Hong Kong ICC - Family Fitness Fun and more, spreading the positive ideal of charity through sports to the community.
