It's graduation time again. Hunan University awarded certificates as a form of encouragement to members of its graduating class who received scholarships from the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation under the blazing sun in mid-June.
The SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation Hunan University scholarship programme was set up in 2005 to help outstanding students facing financial difficulties complete tertiary education, and offer them the opportunities to participate in science competitions and exchange programmes to better prepare themselves for their future. Ms Hu in the university's school of economics and trade spoke on behalf of the group, saying: "We thank our alma mater for nurturing us to grow up happily and healthily. We would also like to thank the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation for the funding that allowed us to focus on our learning, and last but not least we would also like to express our appreciation for the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation Student Society, a group that is outstanding and full of love, which has been inspiring us to constantly strive for the best and uplift ourselves." Over RMB $10 million has been disbursed to 615 students in SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation Hunan University scholarships since the programme was established.
