SHKP Vertical Run for Charity promotes facing challenge for a good cause

Striding upwards is an important theme of life. The annual SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC to be held for the fourth straight year at International Commerce Centre will be the grand finale on the Vertical World Circuit. Additionally, runners who want to join the vertical-running craze fuelled by the international sporting event at Hong Kong's highest skyscraper are invited to sign up for the Challenge and Fun Climb categories.

Variety of race categories

SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC will be held in early December. In the hope of attracting wide-spread participation, SHKP is staging elite, individual, corporate relay, youth relay and open relay races that allow contestants to take on a 2,120-step vertical challenge finishing at the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. The A, B and C Fun Climbs are designed for the wider public, including corporate teams aspiring to exercise for charity and experience the fun of stair-climbing at an easier pace.

Engaging the public on multiple fronts

The countdown to the SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC has begun, accompanied by events like flash-mob performances, Sport and Health for the Public seminars and the Design Your Staircase Competition. Flash mobs to cheer runners on started in September and will go on until November at SHKP malls and on the streets of Mong Kok. The Design Your Staircase Competition is meant to bring out people's creativity by inviting them to create model staircases from any sort of material and upload photos to the Design Your Staircase page of SHKP Vertical Run for Charity Facebook page. The model with the most votes will earn a great prize. Please visit the website below for details.
