Shanghai Arch is made up of 13 residential towers and 23 riverside townhouses in a fan-shaped alignment. It contains 1.7 million square feet in total. High-grade stainless steel was used on special outdoor supports to prevent rust from exposure staining the stone, to maintain the architectural aesthetics. Solid concrete was used for the outside walls of each room to ensure they are waterproof and provide residents comprehensive protection.
Shanghai Arch was built according to green concepts and was the first Shanghai residential property to win Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Core and Shell Development silver precertification by the US Green Building Council. It is on a prime site in the Lujiazui financial zone in Pudong, bordered by Pu Ming Road on the east, the Huangpu River west, Weifang Road south and Zhangyang Road north.
