Accolade for premium residential landmark Shanghai Arch

SHKP's wholly-owned Shanghai Arch has drawn keen market attention for its world-class construction and has won a green industry award for its features.

Magnificent river view

Shanghai Arch is made up of 13 residential towers and 23 riverside townhouses in a fan-shaped alignment. It contains 1.7 million square feet in total. It is on the bank of the Huangpu River and most units have broad, open river views, while some overlook the famous Bund. Units come in a variety of layouts, including special penthouses that offer a remarkable river view from a skyline pool.

The Arch Club by the Bund covers over 64,000 square feet. It was created by international designer Chandu Chhada, who did the Four Seasons Hotel in New York. The clubhouse has landscaped terraces and water features in the atrium so the buildings integrate perfectly with the natural surroundings. It has facilities like those of an elegant six-star hotel so residents can enjoy quality living and comfort at home.

Silver LEED silver certification

SHKP paid meticulous attention to every architectural detail of its Shanghai Arch residential landmark. This can be seen from the external walls that are clad in natural granite sourced from around the world to meet strict criteria for thickness, quality and colour.

High-grade stainless steel was used on special outdoor supports to prevent rust from exposure staining the stone, to maintain the architectural aesthetics. Solid concrete was used for the outside walls of each room to ensure they are waterproof and provide residents comprehensive protection.

Shanghai Arch was built according to green concepts and was the first Shanghai residential property to win Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Core and Shell Development silver precertification by the US Green Building Council. It is on a prime site in the Lujiazui financial zone in Pudong, bordered by Pu Ming Road on the east, the Huangpu River west, Weifang Road south and Zhangyang Road north. The area contains multinational corporations and international banks and provides unrivalled geographical advantages.
