Relaxation Station – Stress Test

Try to recall whether you have encountered the following situations in the past month:

  1. I feel that I have too much work on hand and am unable to cope.
  2. I feel that there is never enough time. Every second counts. For example, beating the red light when crossing the road, or walking and talking at a very fast pace.
  3. I feel that there is no time for recreation – work is constantly on my mind.
  4. I get angry easily, when I encounter setbacks.
  5. I am worried about other people’s evaluation of my work performance.
  6. I don’t feel that my boss and family members appreciate me.
  7. I am worried about my financial condition.
  8. I have a headache/ stomach pain / back pain, which is difficult to cure.
  9. I need tobaccos, alcohol, drugs and snacks etc to suppress unease feelings.
  10. I need sleeping pills for sleep promotion.
  11. I feel angry when I am with family members / friends / colleagues.
  12. I interrupt the other person when conversing with him / her.
  13. I ruminate when in bed. There are too many things on my mind, which make it difficult for me to fall asleep.
  14. There is too much work and I am unable to make sure that everything is perfect.
  15. I feel guilty when I relax during idle time.
  16. I feel guilty for being impatient and wilful.
  17. I feel I should not enjoy myself.

Calculation method:
Has never happened (0 point), happened before (1 point), happens frequently (2 points).
0-10 points Psychological stress level is low. However, this may indicate a lack of stimulation in life. Life is relatively simple and boring. Whether it’s life or work, you are not a highly motivated person.
11-15 points Psychological stress level is moderate. Although pressure can be great at times, you find it manageable.
16 points and above Psychological stress level is high. You should reflect on the source of pressure and seek solutions for your problems.
