Christmas cheer in SHKP malls

People like to see festive decorations in shopping malls at Christmas, and once again this year SHKP has decked the halls with creative displays to greet shoppers.

Musical fun at New Town Plaza

Music is a universal language, so New Town Plaza will have the musical theme this Christmas with a 40-foot purple tree under the third floor skylight decorated with sparkling musical notes and instruments. Under the tree are about 2,000 music boxes. The celebrated US Mass Ensemble will perform at the mall during Christmas using home-made instruments, and aerial performances will to add to the fun.

Swan castle at apm

apm has a swan castle covering 6,000 sq ft and standing 20 ft tall. It is made of over 1,000 white logs and decorated with over 10,000 red, orange, purple and blue flowers. Inside are fairies and swans to give it a dreamlike feel. A crystal swan, ice lake and fairy forest offer good picture opportunities.

High-tech Christmas tree at wtc more

The 30-ft Christmas tree at wtc more has 50,000 LEDs controlled by computer to follow the music and light up in different patterns. Giant hanging ornaments at the front entrance are an impressive sight, with the largest ten ft in diameter. All the sparkling decorations add to the festive mood in Causeway Bay.

Biggest snow ball at Grand Century Place

Grand Century Place will have Hong Kong's biggest Christmas snowballs at four metres. The mall also has brilliant Christmas ornaments, a giant Christmas tree and sparkling coloured lights. The celebrated Australian band Strange Fruit will play at the mall from December 23 to 26, and there will be exciting aerial performances.

Christmas circus at Tai Po Mega Mall

Tai Po Mega Mall has a 1,500-sq-ft Christmas circus display with over 1,000 clown dolls, a 20-ft Christmas tree, assorted decorations and a fountain. The mall will ring in the New Year with a star-studded countdown and lucky draws.

Santa Claus Olympics at Park Central

There is a Santa Claus Olympics in Gällivare in northern Sweden every Christmas where competitors vie for the title of Santa of the Year. The Park Central atrium is decorated like the Santa Claus Olympics with a big Santa's village. The Santas compete at catching reindeer, chimney climbing and sledding. There will also be exhibition showing the real Santa Claus Olympics.
