SHKP promotes reading

SHKP promotes cultural development with various reading-related activities and talks to broaden people's horizons and enrich their lives, and it offers young people academic and work-related training to benefit their futures.

The SHKP Book Club's latest book review competition covers 20 books with a 'city' theme. The books offer a look into the history, culture and daily life in different cities around the world. The contest has junior (6 to 12 years), intermediate (13 to 18) and senior (19 or above) categories. The last day for entries is February 29, 2008.

Nobel Laureates Distinguished Lectures

SHKP and The Chinese University of Hong Kong presented the latest installments of the widely-acclaimed Sun Hung Kai Properties Nobel Laureates Distinguished Lectures recently, with Nobel Laureates in physics Yang Chen Ning and Martin L Perl and Nobel Laureate in chemistry Kurt Wuthrich speaking to over 500 academics, political and business leaders, students and members of the public.

2007 Modern Apprenticeship programme

The 2007 Modern Apprenticeship programme organized by SHKP, Breakthrough and Kung Lee College offers underperforming students aged 17 to 21 ten months of practical learning and on-the-job training. They will be posted in various divisions of SHKP or its hotels and given one-on-one coaching by experienced SHKP employees.
