SHKP honoured as Best Company in Hong Kong

SHKP got two Number One rankings in a recent survey on the Best Companies in Asia conducted by the prestigious international financial magazine Euromoney, being named Best Company in Hong Kong and Best Property Company in Asia. SHKP's Internet site was also named Hong Kong's best company web site in another survey by the noted magazine Asiamoney, producing two very satisfactory results.

Raymond Kwok, SHKP Vice Chairman and Managing Director, said the company will continue to upgrade quality and reinforce its brand name.

One of the most improved in Hong Kong

Euromoney surveyed market analysts at major banks and research institutes in Asia. Respondents were asked to rank companies according to their business strategy, quality of management, profitability, growth potential, treatment of minority shareholders and transparency of financial accounts. SHKP rated very highly on most counts, being named Best Company in Hong Kong, and for the second consecutive year, Best Property Company in Asia. Euromoney also praised SHKP as a specialist developer of quality residential and commercial properties, and called it one of the most improved companies in Hong Kong.

Best company web site in Hong Kong

In another poll by the prestigious international publication Asiamoney, SHKP's Internet site (www.shkp.com.hk) was named as Hong Kong's best company web site. Asiamoney invited fund managers and investors in the region, Europe and USA to rate Asia-Pacific companies, and they gave SHKP's site the highest ranking, earning it the honour of being named Hong Kong's best corporate web site.

Corporate strategy to offer best quality

Raymond Kwok, SHKP Vice Chairman and Managing Director, was very pleased with the company's high rankings in the polls. He said that despite the recent challenging business environment, SHKP still follows its corporate strategy of offering the best quality and building its brand name. This policy works, as SHKP's property sales volume, solid reputation in the market and comments from investors demonstrate. Mr Kwok believes that the keys to the good showing in the polls are SHKP's well-defined and consistent business strategy, excellent governance, prudent financial management and maintenance of a high level of transparency.

Mr Kwok was very gratified by the recognition for SHKP's hard work over the years, and he thinks that these awards are the best encouragement to staff. He said that SHKP will maintain a high level of corporate governance and continue to focus on two-way communication with its customers, shareholders, analysts and the public, to strive for excellence and lift the quality of its products and services to a higher level.
